Charity of the year
Promoting mental wellbeing and supporting those affected by neurological disorders
We are committed to fundraising for charities that are close to our heart – those that promote mental wellbeing and provide support for patients affected by neurological disorders and their families and loved ones.
Every year we focus our fundraising efforts on one charity. We then arrange a whole host of events throughout the year to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity. In previous years we have done bake sales, pub quizzes, ceilidhs and even scaling the Three Peaks!
2023 Charity of the year
This year, our chosen charity is Sport in Mind, dedicated to using sport and physical activity to support people experiencing mental health problems.
Founded in 2010, the charity works with the NHS to deliver physical activity projects including sports, walking, dance and movement and gardening. These activities aim to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health and combat social isolation.
Our fundraising activities
Events that we have held so far include a Christmas Jumper Day (with mince pie and mulled juice sale), a Valentine’s Day baking competition and pancake breakfast for Shrove Tuesday. Some very dedicated team members also committed to running every day in January (RED January), covering nearly 570 km between them!
Charity Challenge 2023: Norfolk Coastal Path
This year in support of the essential work Sport In Mind do, the team will be taking on the Norfolk Coastal Path. This fundraising event involves walking from Hunstanton to Cromer, 47 miles in 24 hours!
