The Clinpal eConsent solution
Our modular and flexible platform supports country-specific legal frameworks and can be configured on a by-trial basis, giving you full control of the documentation presented to your participants.
1. Participant invitation
The participant and/or care giver receives an invitation to access the eConsent system.
A unique activation code and instructions are delivered via email or post for remote users, or this can be completed during an on-site visit.
2. Study information
Once activation is complete, study information can be reviewed at home or during a visit.
Information can be delivered as text, images and video to increase engagement and retention.
3. Participant consultation
Once the participant reviewed and understood the study information, they can choose to proceed with the trial or decline to participate.
If they choose to proceed, an informed consent visit is required to ensure the participant has fully understood the information supplied.
This visit can be conducted with the investigator in-person, or virtually via our telemedicine module.
4. ID verification & completion
The participant completes the informed consent using a digital signature using the Clinpal app for identity confirmation and secure record storage.
Clinpal support eIDAS-compliant Qualified Electronic Signature, legally equivalent to a handwritten signature and giving firm proof-of-identity.
A print-to-sign option is available as an alternative method for capturing signatures. These can then be uploaded to the system for secure digital storage.
Bringing the lab-to-home
Supporting all study delivery methods, from traditional on-site studies to fully-remote trials, our eConsent solution is designed to give you control and flexibility. Participants can use their own or study provisioned device to access the platform. Secured by traditional username and password, device PIN and biometrics, patients can be confident their data is held safely.
Patient communications & dashboards
Our platform gives patients greater visibility of their activity and progress within the trial via their always-on dashboard, allowing them to access study information and manage tasks.
Maintaining patient communications and reminder notifications via email, SMS, app push notifications, the platform actively drives higher engagement and study compliance.
